Before you start to work on detailed, less frequent work in your home, you will need to set up your Focus zones so that they have only the rooms you have in your place. You’ll also want to add or remove tasks to suit how you like to work, what you want to focus on, and the style and materials of your house. We set the lists up to be very, very generic, mostly so you could get an idea of the sorts of tasks you could put in the focus zones – they’re not supposed to be comprehensive. But it doesn’t need to be limited to cleaning in those areas… if you’ve got pictures to hang, paint to touch up, or decluttering to do in areas of each focus zone, you can use the zone lists as general house to-do lists.

Add more Focus Zones

1. Touch All Zones on the Home screen
   
2. Tap Zone Settings
   
3. Select the number of zones you would like to have. You can have between 5 and 7 zones.

Renaming Focus zones

The name of a Focus zone is automatically generated from the names of the rooms in that zone, and cannot be edited.

Renaming a Room

1. Tap All Zones on the Home screen.
2. Tap Edit Rooms and Zones
3. Tap Edit at the top of the screen
4. Tap the name of the room you wish to rename
5. The keyboard will appear. Delete the old name, and type in the new name of your room, then tap Return
6. Tap Done

Copying a Room and its Tasks

This makes it easy to duplicate your most important zone work tasks – just set up one room with everything you want to do in it, then copy it. You can then drag the room to another zone if required.

1. Tap All Zones on the Home screen.
2. Tap Edit Rooms and Zones
3. Tap Edit at the top of the screen
4. Tap Copy next to the name of the room you wish to copy.
   A copy of the room will appear below it. This copy will contain all the same tasks as the original one.
5. Tap the name of the copied room
6. The keyboard will appear. Delete the old name, and type in the name of your new room, then tap Return
7. Tap Done

(It is now a new room in its own right – the lists in the rooms don’t stay synchronized or anything like that)

Adding a new (empty) Room to a Zone

1. Tap All Zones on the Home screen.
2. Tap Edit Rooms and Zones
3. Tap Edit at the top of the screen
4. Tap Add Room under the Zone you want to add it to
5. The keyboard will appear. Type in the name of your new room, then tap Return
6. Tap Done

Deleting a Room

1. Tap All Zones on the Home screen.
2. Tap Edit Rooms and Zones
3. Tap Edit at the top of the screen

1. Touch the red “minus” icon next to the name of the room you wish to delete.
2. A confirmation delete button will appear
3. Touch the confirmation delete button to delete the room
4. Touch Done

Moving Rooms between Zones, or Rearranging Rooms within a Zone

1. Tap All Zones on the Home screen.
2. Tap Edit Rooms and Zones
3. Tap Edit at the top of the screen
4. Touch the three-line draggy icon next to the name of the room you wish to move.
   It will “stick” to your finger.
5. Drag the room to move it into another position in the same zone, or into another zone.
6. Tap Done
